Last week, 13 red knots have been equipped with light-weight satellite tags (4-5 g) in the easternmost part of the German Wadden Sea in Schleswig-Holstein. Knots migrating from Mauritania make a stopover in the German Wadden Sea before they embark on their flight to the Siberian Arctic. Hence, we intersected a number of them and can now enjoy tracking them all the way to the High Arctic.
